Active Status and Good Standing

In order to maintain active status in the MA-IS Program, students must complete 6 credits of course or project work during a one-year academic period (September 1 - August 31). If a student is inactive in her/his studies for 13 months or more, s/he may be contacted by the MA-IS Office for an update on her/his progress and/or asked to consult with the MA-IS Director prior to continuing in the Program. Students who have been inactive for 13 months or more, and have not updated their status with the MA-IS Office or consulted with the MA-IS Director, may be withdrawn from the Program.

Students may interrupt their studies, without prejudice, contingent upon the submission of a written request and approval from the Program Director. There are currently no fees associated with this request.

To request a Interruption of Studies, students are asked to send an e-mail to the MA-IS Office.

If students are receiving Student Finance, they should review the Student Finance Funding Criteria.

In order to be in good standing, students must maintain course grades in the “B” range or higher. Any student who receives a grade of "F" in one course, or a grade in the "C" range in more than one course, may be required to withdraw from the program. For more details, please review the course grading information.
