Ana Laura Pauchulo joined Athabasca University in February of 2012 as the Individualized Study Tutor for GLST 205: Building Blocks of Global Studies. She is also currently the Tutor for EDUC 307: Thinking through the Challenges of Multicultural Education and the Instructor for EDST 632: Global Education.

Dr. Pauchulo received her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 2011. There she studied at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and completed her dissertation on the pedagogical role of public remembrance practices of the 1976-1983 Argentine dictatorship.

Dr.Pauchulo's research interests include the intersections between human rights education and public remembrance of state perpetrated violence in national and international contexts, and the pedagogical possibilities offered in public remembrance practices of collective violence. She was born in Argentina, lived in Toronto for most of her life, and recently moved to Edmonton where she worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta in the Faculty of Education until November of 2012.
